Frank Apuzzo, Certified SEO Expert, founded Apuzzo Internet Marketing in February 2000 and has run every engagement personally since. The company helps established home-service businesses in Southwest Florida get found on Google Search, Google Maps and the AI assistants that now answer for them, one client per market, measured in booked jobs and net profit.

How Frank Apuzzo became a certified SEO expert
In 1997 Frank co-founded the website development and Internet marketing division of Sales & Marketing Technologies in Orlando, the city’s first web design, Internet marketing and SEO (search engine optimization) firm. He helped grow that division past $2,000,000 in sales in its first two and a half years.
He opened his own practice in February 2000. That is 26 years of adjusting the work as search changed, from directory submissions to the map pack to today’s AI Overview. Frank is a Certified SEO Expert with nearly three decades of Internet marketing experience, and he still does the work himself.
Trained for where search is going
Search is moving from ten blue links to a single answer from Google’s AI Overview, ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini. Frank has completed advanced AI-for-business training for that environment, including coursework from AI leader Allie K. Miller and an AI Workshop for Business Owners led by a former Microsoft Global GTM Director.
That is why the practice pairs classic local SEO with AI search optimization for LLMs (large language models, the technology behind ChatGPT and similar assistants). Same foundation, more places for the answer to be you.
The one-client-per-market rule
Apuzzo Internet Marketing takes one client per trade, per market, at any given time. If you are our plumbing client in Naples, no other Naples plumber can hire us. We never work for a client’s competitor.
If your market is open, it is yours
The rule costs us business, which is exactly why it means something. All of Frank’s attention in your market goes to you, none to the company across town. The only question is whether your trade and city are still available.
What we measure
Before any work starts, Frank asks three questions: what does a new customer cost you today, what is one worth in net profit, and what is the lifetime value? Those numbers become the scoreboard. Rankings are an input we track. Profit is what we report against.
- Callsby source
- Booked jobsnot clicks or impressions
- Cost per leadnext to your ad spend
- Net profitper new customer
Who Apuzzo is for, and who it is not
The right fit is an established local or multi-location home-service company: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, drain, roofing, restoration, pool and remodeling contractors. Real revenue, more than one service area, and a job value where a few extra booked jobs a month changes the year.
It is not a fit for a company just starting out, for anyone who wants a report of rankings instead of calls, or for a business in a market where we already have a client. Frank will say so on the first call.
